Eaves completed

Eaves have been completed. Also, the laundry door in fitted. Bit disappointed actually, we opted to paint it the same colour as the fascia. Looking at it now, I think it(and the front door actually) would look great stained. You know, we were not even offered staining for the doors during our colour appointment.

I was out at the block taking some more pics earlier today and the Site Supervisor turned up. He asked if I would ike to go inside and have a look around as some things had changed since our site visit on Tuesday. First thing, the cooker isolation switch has been relocated as per plan *phew*

The gyprock was meant to be delivered yesterday and install started today, but as it was not delivered, it could not be started today. Luckily it was delivered today so gyprock should be started next week.

Also, the air conditioning 'rough in' has been completed. Here is a few pics from today's visit.

Cooker switch - probably wont make sense to anyone else :)

If you look closely at the rear left of the garage in the pic below, you can see the conduit for NBN. For friends of ours in the UK, the NBN is the governments 'National Broadband Network'. Fibre to The Home. As Kelly works in complaints( and myself in IT.. we have an interest in this stuff) and deals solely with NBN related complaints, we have an insight into the issues customers have to deal with. One of them is the builders lack of conduit to run the cable from the street to the point in the house where you want the equipment installed. I can honestly say, McDonald Jones seem to be doing the right thing here. There is one outstanding issue, in that I believe the conduit is leading to the boundary, but the pit for the connection is on the opposite side of the block. We will cross that road when we get there :)

Probably need to see the HiRes image to see the conduit in the rear left corner of the garage :)
