Fences!

Well, Mcdonald Jones are certainly not messing about. we have had something new every day!

We now have the security fence, so I guess that means we are offically locked out.

I think it is sad that I am no longer waiting for the weekends.. I am fidning myself waiting for the next working day to see some more progress!

We have a portaloo

Who would have thought that a portaloo would be on our wishlist? Just another step forward. We now have one, and of course we have taken a photo of it :)

Site cut

Some pics of the site cut in progress. They started about 7am and finished just after 4pm.

The only concern I have, is that the cut was meant to be around 986mm, but at the back right hand corner it is around 1100mm.

I received the following SMS from MJH at 10:44am. I was quite surprised, but went for a drive past anyway.. Site works were still ongoing :)

Funnily enough, I got a call about 5mins before this from the slab supervisor to confirm the site cut tomorrow. Drove past anyway to see if maybe a loo was delivered, but nothing yet. Expect some bigger updates tomorrow :)

Orders have been placed

And a little more movement today. Just received the following txt from MJH. We already knew about the site cut, but now we know the materials have been ordered also!

Drove past yesterday on the way home and noticed some extra pegs. Looks like the surveyor has been out in preparation for the site cut. We all had bets on the dates for the first movement on the site. Bella got it right with the 16th!

Only a small update. Received a call from the slab supervisor yesterday to advise they will be on site on the 22nd Jan for the site cut. I need to remove 175tonnes of soil, so will need to organise some trucks. Luckily, a house down the road, as part of stage 1, is in need of some fill, so most of it can go there. Nice and easy! The rest... working on it. :)
